The SHBO SHOW is a show that is broadcast on DAB the first Thursday of the month on Regency Radio. The show ideally gives a voice to by Super Hero Business Owners (SHBOs) for SHBOs.
So much advice out there is from people who have made it. The thing is that works for them is not always what will work for others. Or if it is is not always voiced in a way that a SHBO can relate to what they do.

Record Some Clips
For those unable to make it to the studio, or just don't want to. Getting together to record some clips is a great options.
We don't do "buy this from me" but we do things like:

- What was the most difficult things I had to overcome
- What I would tell someone starting out
- In what what is my business different to how I thought it would be
By providing valuable information to others we also build trust as a provider. With clips we will probably play them out over a number of shows. We are also happy to do a series of clips and have you come to the studio.
Come To The Studio
While not always possible, the studio is near Brighton, you do get the full experience. The show is often more of a conversation.
The show itself is at 3pm but we'll gate crash the show before, you get to sit in the studio while the previous show is running. It's a chance to chill, say hi if you want to get comfy before the actual show.
The show is light easy going even if the subjects are not always. And the best things... if our minds go blank or something is not flowing... we can stick on a track and compose ourselves.

Preparing for the Show
We don't want to polish things to much. Sounding natural is the aim. However, as Simon's trumpet teacher used to say "Practice until you are bored, then the excitement of the gig will make it sound amazing".
It's Good To Talk
When we are recording some clips or you would like to come on the show we get together and discuss what would work well on the show.
You will probably have an idea of questions you would like Simon to ask you which you can answer to get your knowledge across.
From this we will produce a "script". But when I say it's a script it will just be a guide. If the nerves take over, by all means, read it as a script. However, it does allow Simon to make sure if anything gets missed to pull things back in line.

It's also possible that we go completely off script and, if it is working... that is also cool.
The "script" can also be used to record the clips.
Setting A Date
The show runs once a month, so it may be some time before you get on air. But as mentioned we can always do "clips" and start getting your knowledge out there.
What we are trying to do is get enough guests and "clips" so we can run the show more often.
